The Little Red Hen: I grew up mostly in the country outside of small towns. We always had a large garden and raised farm animals and tried to be as self-sufficient as possible. Being self-reliant and thrifty was always a way of life. I approach preparedness in a way that to me uses a lot of common sense. Preparedness should be a way of life, doing a little bit at a time, all the time. Nothing to extreme. I am here to share with others all the things that I have learned and am still learning.
